Illinois-based Lakeside Equipment Corporation has promoted its vice-president, Dan Widdel, to continue as president to lead the company’s role as industry provider of wastewater treatment systems, including screens, grit collectors, clarifiers, screw pumps, and biological processes.

Represented in Eastern Canada by ACG-Envirocan, Lakeside Equipment Corporation has been in the industry since 1928.

“This is a huge honour for me to follow in the footsteps of those who have led Lakeside Equipment Corporation so diligently for almost a century,” Widdel announced in a statement.

Outgoing Lakeside president, Karen Wolk, made the decision to retire after 40 years with the employee-owned company. Wolk had led the company for the past three years, following the sudden passing of Lakeside’s long-time president, Steve Eckstein.
