To provide greater flood protection to Calgary’s Sunnyside community in the wake of the devastating 2013 floods, the city planned to upgrade the existing Sunnyside Stormwater Lift Station and add a second stormwater lift station further to the east. The project increases the combined stormwater pumping capacity and improves overall flood resilience of the community.
