Ontario’s new excess soil regulation (Ontario Regulation 406/19) showcases many of the trends in environmental policy today, and points to some skills that will be in demand in the future. With the increased density of cities and the popularity of high-rise living, there has been a growing volume of soil excavated as part of the construction process.
