The design phase of a project for expanded water and wastewater infrastructure is underway for the next three years in Caledon, Ontario.
Stantec will provide engineering services, program management, environmental assessment, design, and construction administration for all projects included in the program, which is expected to total more than 100 separate projects designed to address housing shortages for the Peel Region community.
To meet the demands of the project, Stantec is bringing on R.V. Anderson Associates Limited (RVA), which will provide delivery services for the design and construction phases, and GEI Canada to assist with developer project review, oversight, and coordination.
Caledon is home to close to 80,000 residents and 4,000 businesses.

“This work resonates with me because of the transformational impact that a program of this magnitude can have on communities,” announced Melissa Carter, Stantec program manager and vice president. “Our multidisciplinary team is drawn to this opportunity to shape the future of Caledon, helping the region to address water and wastewater infrastructure needs promptly, while also being responsible and sustainable.”
Stantec has worked with Peel Region on the Real Time Control Strategy for its Trunk Sanitary Sewer System, the Lakeshore Sanitary Trunk Sewer, and the ongoing Little Etobicoke Creek Trunk Sewer and Queensway East Tunnel projects.
