Evoqua Water Technologies and its recently acquired Neptune Benson business announced July 7, 2016 the acquisition of VAF Filtration Systems, a screen filtration manufacturer based in Arvada, CO.
VAF, founded in 1985, engineers and manufactures automatic self-cleaning water filters and control valves for a variety of industrial and municipal water applications. Markets include industrial water reuse, water and wastewater, cooling towers, seawater, river intake water, well water, groundwater re-injection, irrigation and more. VAF’s premier product, the V-SeriesTM, is a self-cleaning screen filter capable of removing suspended solids from 1500 to 10 microns*.
The acquisition pairs VAF’s self-cleaning, screen filtration systems with Neptune Bensons media based filters including the award winning Defender Regenerative Media Filters, Vortisand cross-flow microsand filters and Legacy Sand Filters. The addition of VAF compliments Neptune Benson’s existing product offerings and bolsters Neptune Benson’s and Evoqua’s offerings within industrial and municipal markets, allowing the company to offer filtration solutions ranging from 1500 microns down to submicron filtration.
“We are pleased to welcome VAF to the Neptune Benson and Evoqua family,” said Ken Rodi, President of Evoqua’s Neptune Benson. “This acquisition expands Neptune’s presence in industrial markets and complements our existing filtration product lines; allowing us to offer a media-free filter in applications that may not need the Defender or Vortisand’s level of filtration.”
