Event Details
Oil-grit separators (OGS) have long been used in Canada in both stand-alone and pretreatment applications for stormwater quality treatment. However, the need for higher level treatment of pollutants of concern such as nutrients and metals has put increasing focus on stormwater filter devices. For both classes of technology, rigorous performance testing and third-party verification are vital to ensure that real-world performance is aligned with marketing claims. Additionally, proper product selection, sizing, scaling, installation, and maintenance are critical in order to consistently achieve the stormwater quality objectives for a specific site.
Attendees will learn:
- Basic understanding of the latest in OGS and stormwater filter technology
- Key aspects of proper testing protocols for OGS and filters
- Guidance for application of OGS and filters within stormwater regulations
