StormTrap®, a provider of stormwater management systems, and Lafarge Canada, Inc. announced July 7, 2016 that they have entered into a licensing and manufacturing agreement. StormTrap has granted an exclusive license to Lafarge to develop and commercialize StormTrap’s detention and retention products in Western Canada.
The addition of StormTrap detention retention systems joins Lafarge’s existing oil/grit separator and stormwater filtration products.
StormTrap stormwater systems are designed to control volumes and flows leaving a site. The systems store runoff in large underground concrete chambers for a given period of time before the runoff is released at a controlled rate, or stored for other uses such as irrigation. This helps mitigate many of the harmful effects of high volumes of stormwater runoff, such as erosion and flooding.
StormTrap systems comply with all Canadian surface loading requirements and are completely modular for customized site needs. Lafarge completes the solution by providing project engineering and design.
